NOVAFEST

NOVAFest is a student run music festival put on annually by the Music Arts program students at the Nova Scotia Community College. It started in 2008 with a few performances in our college theatre, Stayner’s Wharf, and other locations around the city. Over the years the festival has continued to grow, and May 22 and 23, 2027 will be our biggest yet.

NOVAFest aims to give the spotlight to emerging NSCC artists and musicians, and highlight established local talent. We have a strong belief in diversity, all-ages, community connection and the arts in Nova Scotia. The festival also gives NSCC students the opportunity to gain experience in the music industry through running and performing in a festival, especially alongside experienced headliners. Last year, we featured headliners Adina Fraser, Quoia States, Matt Elliot, Lindsay Misiner, Nicole Ariana and Tim Hatcher (of Good Dear Good).

We are so excited to build on that momentum; NOVAfest 2027 will be one to remember!
